This is Rowena Highbaugh at about 94, an amazing woman. She talked about her days in Oklahoma when she rode around in covered wagons. She's actually seen the world change dramatically. She has unconditional love for people and is secure in her faith and God.

Knowing your subject is like listening to people talk about children. They can talk about other people's children but it's not the same as when they're talking about their own. Once you get to know your subjects and become familiar with their experiences and surroundings, you can develop a love which comes through your work. It also determines how you will portray your subject. In the end, you hope you can do something that will help people come together. The emotions are universal, no matter the color of the skin.
