Flittens™ Books & Bisques

Discovered by Captain Katt during a trip to Sweden, while enjoyng a cup of tea and chocolate gateau, he became curious why his cake seemed to be disappearing faster than he was eating. He soon realized that several fleet-footed friends were sharing his snack. The captian easily lured the creatures into an empty chocolate box and brought them back to Mewingham Manor.

Habitat: Sweet-Toothed Siamese inhabit pastry shops, candy stores and areas of the home where candies and other sweets are stored. They are notorious for raiding candy dishes and will, if no candy is to be found, will tear open bags of sugar. Their favorite sleeping spots are candy boxes and candy dishes.

Habits: Sweet-toothed Siamese cats are constantly washing their faces to clean off traces of chocolate or other sticky sweets. Although they also try and keep their feet clean, they sometimes leave behind trails of sticky footprints.

Likes: All sweets.

Dislikes: Sugar-free foods, coconut (no one knows why).

Migration: Sweet-toothed Siamese migrate to chocolate producing areas, then settle in to stay.

Laura Von Stetina
Laura's yard is filled with the flowers and plants she grows as subjects for her botanical and wildlife paintings. Her house is populated with the stray animals she has always welcomed. One notable was a stray cat that bestowed the family with kittens. Laura was so taken with their special skills that she observed them keenly, often sketching them in detail. While checking on them early one morning, she was amazed to discover they had sprouted wings! Thus was the inspiration for her series of "Flittens" which are imaginately enchanting as well as botanically and anatomically correct.
Laura's impressive credentials include a solo exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, participation in exhibits at the Cleveland Museum of Art, numerous awards from the Cleveland Society of Nature Artists among many others. Laura's love of nature has also included teaching and natural history museum work.
