As summer turns to fall, the grizzlies of the Kenai Peninsula make their way down from the mountains to the rivers and streams to feast on the easy pickings of the annual salmon run. Spawned out and near the end of their circuitous lives, they are full of thick oils and fats great for gorging on prior to a 5-7 month sleep.
