by Steve Hanks
There is no other place like the French Quarter of New Orleans and Steve Hanks’ newest painting brings us to its heart, Jackson Square. A jazz funeral cortege celebrates its way past St. Louis Cathedral where a group of street musicians joins in the celebration of the life of the deceased. Like his "Streets of New Orleans," this newest work captures Hanks love for the city. “It has character that takes time to absorb," he says, “and will take a lifetime to fully discover and enjoy.”
